立神岩

高さ30mの巨大な玄武岩の柱。２つの岩が、荒波に負けまいと寄り添うように立っていることから、別名「夫婦岩」とも呼ばれています。九州のサーフィン発祥地としても、人気のスポットです。

Gigantic basaltic columns rise 30m high. They are standing close together, as if a husband and a wife were leaning against each other to protect themselves from wild waves, so they are also called "Couple Rocks." This place is also popular among sufers as the birthplace of surfing on Kyushu.
